Accessibility
Everyone should be able to shop with us, on any device, with any assistive technology.
Our goal
We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 level AA, and we aim for 2.2 AA. We don't use accessibility overlay widgets; we fix the site itself.
What we do
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link.
- Text and controls meet AA contrast in both light and dark mode.
- Pages are built with real headings, labels and landmarks so screen readers can move around them.
- Prices are read out in full, and stock and deal states use words, not color alone.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall on phones.
- Motion is kept small and turns off when your device asks for reduced motion.
- We test every page with automated checks (axe) and by hand with a keyboard and screen readers, on phones and desktops, before each release.
Known limits
- Some product photos are still being added. Until then you'll see a simple drawing, and the product name is always in text.
- Store maps are pictures. Each one has the address in text right next to it, and a link to directions.
Tell us what's not working
If anything on the site gets in your way, tell us and we'll fix it, and help you place your order by phone in the meantime. Call SB Ave at (574) 273-0200 or any of our stores. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
